The Peaceful Glen Memorial Players are at it again! This not-so-great little theatre company decides to tackle Shakespeare’s classic, “King Lear,” but with a twist. In order to attract patrons and sponsors the play must have a theme. So, why not stage the play in the tropical islands? As if this isn’t enough to distract the visiting director, the players are in danger of losing their building. And the woman who can pull the plug is none other that the director’s mother. Violence, passion, palm trees and donuts make for an unforgettable rendition of the Bard’s classic.

This play is the sequel to “Barbecuing Hamlet” which was performed at Buck Creek Players last year.  Although these are sequel comedies, it is not necessary to see one to enjoy the other.

Performances are March 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 8 PM and March 18 and 25 at 2 PM. Tickets are $10 each and can be reserved by calling 317-823-4761, ext. 4 or by clicking on “Reservations” above.
